Getting good feedback is crucial for any business. Not only does it improve client retention and attract new clients, but it shows you what you may not see in your business.

To help you improve your client feedback, we've spilled our top tips on how to gather client feedback in your salon.

Give incentives.

A client is more likely to provide feedback for you if they receive something in return. This could be anything from 10% off their next service, a free hair or skin product, or the chance to win a much bigger prize! Feedback is a short process and only takes a matter of seconds. In order to grab attention, however, there needs to be something in return. A common incentive is a discount off their next service. So, when it comes to collecting customer feedback, why not start here?

Go online.

Don't waste time printing out hundreds of feedback forms, only for them to go in a client's pocket and never used again. Instead, use a free and easy software like Google Forms to distribute to your client's email. Ideally, this link could go in the post-treatment email. This way, the client is in a more relaxed space after receiving their treatment, and will therefore be more likely to leave feedback on your services.

Do it soon.

Waiting until a few days or even weeks after the client's appointment will not work. How can they review something they do not remember? It is important to get good quality feedback to improve your services. So, your client will need to recount the full experience in their head. Our advice is to send the review form about 1-2 hours after their treatment. That way they will still be relaxed but have a fresh memory of their experience. It's a win win either way!
